As self-employed business owners, everything is dependent on us. How we handle situations and customer issues can make or break our business. Making the wrong decision or handling things incorrectly is the perfect way to lose customers. In this episode, I talk about how to lose customers based on a terrible personal interaction I had with a small local car mechanic when trying to get my car repaired. This one experience taught me a lot of things to pay attention to regarding running my own business, how I can improve certain areas of the experience I offer my clients, and most importantly, the things I should definitely not do if I want to maintain a successful business with repeat clients and referrals.
